Trevor Brooking, ex football player and England legend, expressed his love and commitment to the game when he opened a brand new sporting facility called the Sporting Club Thamesmead. The new structure will boast an artificial grass pitch, multi use games arena, and a changing pavilion. The funding of the project was met by the Football Foundation and other donors.
